Perfect Wedding Guide Spring Bridal Show and Designer Gown Sale takes place from 10 a.m. to  5 p.m. Sunday, April 1 at the Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Blvd., Overland Park, Kan.

The second annual Diva Dash 5K will take place at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24 at Park Place in Leawood. The women-only event benefits Girls on the Run of Johnson County. The race will start and finish at 117th Street and Nall Avenue on a USATF-certified course. Participants will receive a T-shirt, and the event also includes age group awards, IPICO Chip timing, and food and prizes.

Friday Night Family Fun features a Women’s History Month Celebration starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 23, at the Kansas City Public Library's Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St. Co-sponsored by the Westport Center for the Arts, a talented group of living history presenters will bring the past to life.

Like Me Lighthouse, a center for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, opens with a ribbon-cutting ceremony from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at 3909 Main St., Kansas City, Mo.
The center is opening with the help of country singer and songwriter Chely Wright, who was born in Kansas City and raised in Wellsville, Kan.

The Music and Academic Theatre Department at Johnson County Community College presents a children’s play La Culebra from March 9-11.
 

The Ninth Northland Ethnic Festival is from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at Park Hill South High School, 4500 NW River Park Drive, Riverside, Mo.
